V8 marks the debut unit album from SEVENTEEN members VERNON and THE 8, combining Vernon’s “V” and THE 8’s “8” into a name inspired by the powerful acceleration of a V8 engine. Leading the album’s creative direction themselves, the duo blends their distinct artistic styles, cultural backgrounds, and musical influences into a project that freely crosses genre boundaries. Centered around the theme of “spent youth,” the album reflects on confusion, growth, recovery, and the freedom that emerges after difficult moments. Featuring eight electronic-based tracks, V8 explores different emotions through experimental production while showcasing the duo’s evolving artistry.
