TUNEXX 2nd Mini Album – BLUE MODE was released on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 6 PM KST, featuring the title track “BLUE MODE.”

BLUE MODE expands TUNEXX’s story from “I” to “we.” While their debut album SET BY US ONLY began with the declaration that they were different, the second mini album follows seven young people who begin recognizing others who share the same frequency. Individual signals that once felt incomplete gradually reach and overlap with one another, transforming the uncertainty of youth into confidence found through connection.

The album captures the excitement of seven individuals gradually finding their shared rhythm while also discovering a deeper and more honest side of themselves. Across UK garage, R&B trap soul, hip-hop soul, and electronic pop, TUNEXX broadens its musical spectrum while maintaining a story centered on youth, emotion, and moving forward together. Members Donggyu, Inhu, Taira, Zeon, and Sihwan participated in the lyrics across the album, further bringing their own perspectives into its narrative.

1. SYNC UP

“SYNC UP” is a UK garage house track combining modal, dreamy chord progressions with a distinctive rhythmic groove. TUNEXX’s refreshing vocals blend with the polished production as the lyrics capture the excitement of overcoming hesitation and realizing that two people’s feelings and timing are finally beginning to align.

2. BLUE MODE (Title Track)

“BLUE MODE” is a hybrid hip-hop track that begins with R&B trap soul before developing into breakbeat-driven drums. A smooth yet weighty instrumental supports TUNEXX’s groovy vocals and rap, reflecting the moment of finally confronting emotions that had previously been difficult to acknowledge. The song compares that emotional state to a night so dark that it appears blue, turning “BLUE MODE” into a space where hidden feelings become clearer and more honest. Inhu, Sihwan, and Taira participated in writing the lyrics.

3. ANSWER

“ANSWER” is a hip-hop soul track inspired by 1990s R&B, combining lyrical chord progressions with TUNEXX’s delicate vocals and rap. The song expands the outro theme from their previous title track “I’m Alive,” creating a musical connection between the group’s first and second chapters. Its lyrics portray memories that return whenever it rains and the gradual process of acknowledging those emotions before allowing them to pass. Zeon and Sihwan participated in writing the lyrics, with Zeon also contributing to the rap making.

4. OVER X

“OVER X” is an electronic pop track characterized by powerful laid-back drums, glitch-style synthesizers, and two contrasting musical themes. Dynamic vocals and rhythmic rap move across those changes as the lyrics express the determination to go beyond an unknown “X” together, reaching places and possibilities that have not yet been defined by anyone else. Zeon and Donggyu participated in writing the lyrics.
