TUIDE 1st EP – TUNE & PLAY was released on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 6 PM KST, featuring the title track “SUN KISS.”

TUNE & PLAY introduces TUIDE’s identity and musical direction, bringing together seven members, Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Seah, and Yi Hani, under a sound shaped by different musical influences, cultures, and individual personalities. Reflecting the group name’s origin in “Tune the tide,” the album centers on creating a new flow by tuning different musical languages (TUNE) and finding freedom and enjoyment within that connection (PLAY).

At the center of the debut is TUIDE’s signature “Soultronic” style, which combines the emotional warmth of soul with polished electronic sounds. Across five tracks, the group moves through 90s R&B/Soul, house, G-Funk, and UK garage while maintaining a balance between lively energy and a relaxed groove. GroovyRoom leads the album’s production alongside collaborators including BOYCOLD, KWACA, ZIN CHOI, and Dalchong.

Track Highlights

1. ABD

“ABD” combines 90s R&B/Soul with lo-fi textures and GroovyRoom’s hip-hop groove, layering delicate vocals over acoustic guitar and minimal rhythms. Inspired by ABD’s philosophy of imagining D rather than automatically following A, B, C, the lyrics reject predetermined formulas and express TUIDE’s determination to create new possibilities according to their own instincts.

2. SUN KISS (Title Track)

“SUN KISS” most clearly introduces TUIDE’s Soultronic identity, contrasting energetic rhythms with a relaxed topline and an unpredictable progression. The recurring idea of a “sun-kissed voice” represents each member’s individual personality and way of expressing herself, while the lyrics encourage trusting personal feelings and rhythm instead of following someone else’s standards. Their seven distinctive voices come together within one groove, reflecting the group’s balance of individuality, freedom, and harmony.

3. Echo

“Echo” blends deep house and up-tempo classic house to portray the feeling of becoming increasingly drawn to someone. An a cappella opening leads into delicate acoustic sounds before a stronger beat changes the track’s direction. The lyrics compare feelings that travel only one way to an echo, while the hope that two people will finally understand each other is represented through stereo sound, turning audio imagery into a playful metaphor for romantic connection.

4. Flip-Flop Girl

“Flip-Flop Girl” reinterprets laid-back G-Funk through TUIDE’s relaxed musical sensibility. Heavy bass and a clear lead synth establish its groove as the lyrics follow a girl who chooses to “go with the flow,” moving through the world according to her own rhythm and instincts. Despite its easygoing atmosphere, the track maintains a sense of self-assurance, portraying freedom without losing a clear sense of direction.

5. GRLS

“GRLS” serves as TUIDE’s first introduction to the world, bringing seven different personalities together as best friends who refuse to be restricted by outside expectations. Built on an elastic UK garage rhythm, the song moves naturally between individual, unit, and full-group sections as though each member is introducing herself before joining the others. Its recurring “GRLS” hook emphasizes their identity as one team, while the idea of “bestie-tude” captures their determination to move forward together in their own way.
