SF9 2nd Album – TENACITY was released on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 6 PM KST, featuring the title track “Without Wings.”
TENACITY marks SF9’s 10th debut anniversary, looking back on the decade they have spent pursuing their dreams while turning that history into the starting point for another journey. The album title represents tenacity, perseverance, and an unbreakable will, while its opening “TEN” also reflects the group’s ten years together.
At the center of the album is a story about confronting limits created within oneself. After believing they had lost the wings that once allowed them to fly, SF9 rediscover the courage to move forward through love and realize that the greatest barrier was not the world around them, but the boundaries they had placed on themselves. Across 10 tracks, TENACITY moves through determination, memories, separation, freedom, romance, and self-belief, carrying the conviction that they can rise again even without wings.
Track Highlights
1. Without Wings (Title Track)
“Without Wings” is an Afrobeat-based pop track combining a rhythmic groove with polished pop production. Light percussion, an addictive hook, and dynamic vocal progression create a free and energetic atmosphere, while the recurring “Without Wings” refrain reinforces its central message. The song expresses the belief that SF9 can overcome their limits and rise again without relying on wings, turning self-belief into the force that allows them to keep moving forward. HWI YOUNG participated in writing the lyrics.
2. Curtain Call
“Curtain Call” is a pop track built around dreamy synthesizers and powerful bass, using the moment when a film’s ending credits begin to roll as its central image. Memories and shining moments shared together are treated like scenes from a completed work, creating a mixture of nostalgia and overwhelming emotion. Rather than treating the closing credits as a definitive ending, the song reframes them as another scene leading toward a new beginning.
3. PRESSURE
“PRESSURE” is a rage track driven by explosive synthesizers and a fast-moving beat. Its lyrics look back on the journey from the bottom to proving oneself, rejecting outside pressure and judgment in favor of awakening the instinct to confront obstacles directly. The track emphasizes confidence under pressure and the determination to break through rather than be controlled by it. YOUNG BIN and HWI YOUNG participated in writing the lyrics.
4. One More Kiss
“One More Kiss” is a Y2K-inspired dance-pop track incorporating complextro elements, pairing textured synthesizers and polished rhythms with emotional and sensual vocal lines. The song follows a man who chooses to end a relationship because he believes the other person deserves a better kind of love. Beneath the calm farewell, however, lingering attachment remains, concentrated in the desire for one final kiss before letting go. YOUNG BIN and CHA NI participated in the lyrics.
5. Cross My Mind
“Cross My Mind” is a pop track that brings elegant staccato strings together with Jersey club rhythms. Its restrained emotional movement reflects memories that unexpectedly return after someone believes they have already been erased. The more those traces are pushed away, the clearer they become, turning the persistence of memory into both the song’s emotional theme and rhythmic movement. YOUNG BIN and CHA NI participated in writing the lyrics.
6. Too Easily
“Too Easily” is a melodic pop track combining rhythmic guitar with a bright, contemporary sound. The lyrics portray someone who continues to remember a former partner during seemingly insignificant moments after a breakup, expressing those lingering feelings with understated honesty rather than dramatic emotion. Its light atmosphere contrasts with the realization that some people simply cannot be forgotten easily. YOUNG BIN, HWI YOUNG, and CHA NI participated in the lyrics.
7. Mr. Bang Bang
“Mr. Bang Bang” is an energetic dance-pop track powered by band sounds, repetitive lyrics, and a direct chorus designed for group sing-alongs. The song captures the heat and freedom of a party continuing until dawn, transforming the stage into a festival filled with explosive energy and confidence. HWI YOUNG participated in writing the lyrics.
8. Best Mistake
“Best Mistake” is a danceable hip-hop track built on a minimal trap beat, catchy pluck synths, an addictive topline, and rhythmic rap. The song looks at moments once considered wrong choices and follows how they eventually lead to an unexpectedly meaningful relationship. The contradiction within the phrase “Best Mistake” captures the excitement and growing certainty of realizing that what seemed like an error may have led to something worth choosing. YOUNG BIN and CHA NI participated in the lyrics.
9. REAL FROM THE FAKE
“REAL FROM THE FAKE” combines rage-style hip-hop with pop elements, bringing energetic beats and an addictive hook into a sound that expands SF9’s musical palette. Its lyrics encourage trusting your own instincts and feelings instead of being distracted by appearances, focusing on the ability to recognize what is genuine beneath what the world presents. HWI YOUNG and CHA NI participated in writing the lyrics.
10. Do You Want Me
“Do You Want Me” is an R&B pop track that portrays love gradually entering everyday life as naturally as the aroma of coffee. Warm guitar and an emotional melody accompany lyrics about small ordinary moments slowly developing into romantic feelings. Soft vocals and a comfortable atmosphere close the album with SF9’s warm and understated approach to romance. CHA NI participated in writing the lyrics.
