JEONG EUNJI (Apink) 5th Mini Album – Summer, I was released on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 6 PM KST, featuring the title track “i love LOVE.”

Summer, I portrays different moments of love through music inspired by summer, with each of its seven tracks carrying a distinct mood and color. Together, the songs move through affection, excitement, memories, separation, and the emotions that remain afterward, forming a musical season shaped by some of life’s brightest and most personal moments.

The album title brings together “summer” and “I,” reflecting both JEONG EUNJI’s connection to the season she was born in and her desire to record the emotions that feel most true to herself. She participated in producing every track, shaping the album’s overall direction while collaborating with musicians including 10CM, Jukjae, and So Soo Bin.

Track Highlights

1. i love LOVE (Title Track)

“i love LOVE” began with JEONG EUNJI asking herself what kind of person she is when it comes to love. Looking back, she realizes that love has been present throughout her life, not only in happy relationships but also in unspoken feelings, intense passion, disappointment, and difficult moments that existed precisely because she cared. The song ultimately embraces love as something found in music, the world around her, and herself, carrying her hope that listeners can recognize both large and small forms of happiness in their own lives. JEONG EUNJI participated in both the lyrics and composition, with Jukjae on guitar.

2. NO FIGHT

“NO FIGHT” carries a simple message: there is already too little time to love, so spend the present loving rather than fighting. JEONG EUNJI approaches the song with the direct and innocent energy of an animated-series opening theme, turning moments of hurt into an understanding that disappointment often begins with the wish to be loved a little more. Its bright energy transforms that realization into an affectionate call to appreciate one another while there is still time.

3. linguine

“linguine” began with the familiar idea of pasta as a meal shared on dates or prepared for someone you love. That everyday romantic image was combined with a musical atmosphere associated with summer, turning the song into what the album describes as a bowl filled with summer love. 10CM wrote and composed the track, while also participating in its arrangement.

4. with the wind

“with the wind” imagines how the child from JEONG EUNJI’s “Hopefully Sky” might sing after growing up. The child who once looked at flower petals has matured enough to see trees and forests, recognize deeper emotions, and understand love. Carrying forward the tenderness learned while walking hand in hand with her parents, the song pictures that grown child sharing the same warmth with someone she now loves. JEONG EUNJI co-composed the track with Jukjae and EASTBEAM.

5. gradually

“gradually” captures the moment before a breakup when its ending can already be felt. A relationship and daily life that once seemed permanent suddenly begin to feel fragile, bringing the painful realization that someone who had always offered support and strength may soon disappear from everyday life. The song focuses on the heavy uncertainty of watching a once-stable emotional world begin to collapse.

6. rainy season

“rainy season” follows someone walking through the rain after a breakup without surrendering completely to sadness. Rather than trying to suppress the pain, the song accepts that grief can be allowed to arrive and pass naturally, just as getting soaked is sometimes unavoidable once the rain begins. There is comfort in knowing that both the rain and the sadness will eventually stop, even if neither can be rushed.

7. empty

“empty” explores the hollow space left behind when a relationship ends and two people return to living according to their separate timelines. Memories that once felt vivid gradually disappear, leaving the painful emptiness created by removing someone else’s presence from a life that had been filled with them. Beneath that loneliness, however, is the quiet understanding that the empty space will eventually be filled again, bringing the album’s journey through love and loss to a reflective close.
