CORTIS 2nd EP – GREENGREEN_playextended was released on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 12 AM KST, expanding GREENGREEN with two new tracks, “PACK IT UP” and “MONEYMONEYMONEY.”

Released in celebration of CORTIS’ first debut anniversary, GREENGREEN_playextended extends the ideas and creative process behind their second EP with songs that were originally developed while making GREENGREEN. The expanded album brings its original six tracks together with two previously unreleased songs, offering a closer look at the thoughts, experiences, and musical instincts that shaped the group during that period.

Both new tracks were created through CORTIS’ collaborative songwriting process, with all five members participating in the lyrics and composition. Drawing directly from everyday conversations and experiences, “PACK IT UP” and “MONEYMONEYMONEY” reinforce the album’s emphasis on honesty, individuality, and raw creative energy, documenting CORTIS as they are at this point in their journey.

Track Highlights

1. TNT

“TNT” concentrates CORTIS’ ambition, confidence, and explosive energy into a song about five seemingly carefree young people discovering what they can create together in the studio. The lyrics move from ordinary nights spent in front of a computer to the moment their potential begins to ignite, capturing their determination toward music and performance alongside a willingness to take risks.

2. REDRED (Original Title Track)

“REDRED” uses GREEN and RED as symbols for what CORTIS wants to pursue and what they want to avoid. Originating from an idea by James, the song marks the beginning of the group’s search for a direction defined by their own tastes rather than outside standards or rules. Rough synthesizers, repetitive rhythms, and catchy melodies reinforce its unconventional character, with all five members participating in the lyrics and composition.

3. ACAI

“ACAI” was inspired by the açaí bowls the members regularly ate while working on music in the United States. Turning an ordinary part of their busy schedule into a song, the track compares individual tastes and personalities to toppings added to the same base. Beneath its playful concept is a more grounded idea: like an açaí bowl that still tastes good without toppings, they want to become people with a strong foundation beneath everything added on top.

4. YOUNGCREATORCREW

“YOUNGCREATORCREW” explores CORTIS’ complicated relationship with the phrase used to describe them. While acknowledging themselves as a “young creator crew,” the members also express the contradiction of not wanting their identity to be confined to a single label. The song itself reflects their spontaneous creative process, having originated from an unplanned freestyle shared by the members on the day of their debut.

5. Wassup

“Wassup” reflects the mixed emotions that come from adjusting to a new life after debut while many ordinary routines remain unchanged. Details drawn from the members’ actual schedules, including setting up makeshift workspaces in hotel rooms and eating açaí bowls with friends while traveling, give the lyrics an everyday quality. A wistful medium-tempo beat and restrained but steadily building energy accompany their determination to continue moving forward.

6. Blue Lips

“Blue Lips” began with an older song written by Martin and explores the irony that the things someone gives their whole heart to can also cause the deepest wounds. Rather than rejecting those experiences, the lyrics accept the responsibility and possible regret that come with choosing a dream. Warm electric piano and low, restrained vocals give the song a reflective and lingering atmosphere.

7. PACK IT UP

“PACK IT UP” grew from a freestyle the members improvised while joking around and packing their belongings at their accommodation, a moment previously captured in the video Pack Up Bro. That spontaneous origin remains part of the track’s raw character, showing how CORTIS can transform an insignificant everyday moment into music. With all five members involved in its lyrics and composition, the song highlights their playful chemistry and collaborative way of creating together.

8. MONEYMONEYMONEY

“MONEYMONEYMONEY” is a hip-hop track built around the members’ candid thoughts about money. Rather than presenting the usual image of wealth and success as something to flaunt, the song began with practical questions about why people need money and what they would actually do if they had more of it. Their conversations ultimately arrive at a deliberately straightforward conclusion: happiness can exist without money, but some things still require it, so for now, earn it first. Lyrics inspired by their experiences at Paris Fashion Week in July 2026 add another piece of their current life directly into the song.
