ARTMS 2nd Mini Album – Hyper-Ego was released on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 1 PM KST, featuring the title track “BORN STUNNER.”

Hyper-Ego pushes ARTMS beyond the musical and visual boundaries established through “Virtual Angel” and “Icarus.” The album embraces a more unpredictable and experimental identity, moving between bold disruption, hyperrealism, questions of self-perception, and the freedom to create something outside familiar expectations. Rather than fitting these different sounds into an existing definition of ARTMS, the album presents them as part of what the group calls “ARTMS Core.”

The album also continues ARTMS’ interest in questioning what is real and how identity is formed. From the rule-breaking energy of “BORN STUNNER” and the heightened self-image of “Blue Blood” to the uncertainty between reality and memory in “Pixel Memory,” Hyper-Ego explores an identity that is constantly being challenged, reconstructed, and expanded.

1. From Wings To Soul

“From Wings To Soul” opens with a surprise appearance from HaSeul, who is unable to participate in the album’s promotions, as she offers words of support to the four members taking part in the activities. The introduction then passes to JinSoul, creating a connection between the members even while they cannot all promote together. Its message emphasizes that physical absence does not mean being apart.

2. BORN STUNNER (Title Track)

“BORN STUNNER” breaks sharply from ARTMS’ previous musical framework through heavy bass drops, dynamic rhythmic changes, powerful rap, and an addictive hook that unfold in rapid succession. Where “Virtual Angel” relied on carefully structured rhythm and “Icarus” gradually built toward its climax, this track deliberately disrupts expectations and pushes beyond established rules. Its accompanying visual concept extends that idea through hyperrealism, using separate “real” and “fake” music videos to question what makes one version more authentic than another.

3. Blue Blood

“Blue Blood” is a high-speed club track combining hyperpop and J-Core. Its central image takes the familiar expectation that blood should be red and replaces it with the belief that “blue blood” flows within, turning an impossible idea into an expression of heightened self-perception. 4. ICARUS GANG

The song questions whether a person’s sense of self is genuinely formed through individual choice or gradually shaped by the messages and expectations imposed by society, revisiting a question previously raised through “Birth.” Its central uncertainty, “Which one is real?”, brings Hyper-Ego back to its recurring tension between authenticity, perception, and constructed identity.
