The following day, the concept photo post was deleted, and on July 7, his agency WAY BETTER issued an official apology regarding the use of the American flag as a prop in the images:

First and foremost, we would like to extend our sincere apologies to everyone who felt discomfort or disappointment regarding the use of the American flag as a prop in the concept photos for our artist KANG YUCHAN’s debut single album. We take this matter very seriously.
