BLINGY opens a new chapter for NCT 127’s 10th anniversary, looking back on the path they have built together while reaffirming their pride in the group and determination to continue moving forward as one team. Across nine tracks, the album moves primarily through hip-hop while incorporating rock, pop, indie pop, house, and other influences, reinforcing the distinctive musical identity NCT 127 has developed over the past decade.

Rather than treating the anniversary only as a retrospective, BLINGY focuses on momentum, unity, and what comes next. Its songs move between explosive confidence, personal growth, freedom, and memories shared over time, ultimately connecting NCT 127’s past with their commitment to keep creating their own path.

1. Blingy (Title Track)

“Blingy” is a hip-hop track incorporating rage and dubstep elements, driven by distorted synthesizers, heavy drums, and a chanting chorus. Its constantly rising energy represents NCT 127’s presence shining like a massive flame, with lyrics expressing confidence in their performance and pride in the team they have built. TAEYONG also participated in creating the choreography, further bringing NCT 127’s own performance identity into the track.

2. Legacy

“Legacy” is a powerful hip-hop track led by aggressive drums and distorted bass, with layered choir sounds, rapid rap, and melodic vocals adding dimension to the arrangement. Centered on Seoul, the city at the heart of NCT 127’s identity, the lyrics express the ambition to spread positive energy across their home city like light.

3. Piñata

“Piñata” moves freely between rock and hip-hop, combining intense electric guitar, funky bass, breakbeat-style drums, explosive guitar solos, and rap chants. Using the image of smashing open a piñata, the lyrics express the confidence to turn the stage into an explosive celebration.

4. Step Up

“Step Up” is an old-school hip-hop track built on a cool, heavy 1990s groove and dynamic rhythms. The song carries a bold determination to overcome confusion, obstacles, and limitations in NCT 127’s own way, approaching challenges as something to step beyond rather than fear.
